The Inner North Destination Play Space in Watson is a benchmark community recreation project for Canberra’s Inner North.
Delivered by Glascott on behalf of the ACT Government, the project brings together skate infrastructure, multi-use courts, climbing structures, fitness stations and accessible amenities within a single integrated public space.
Designed by Spiire, the project reflects a strong focus on detail and place-based design. The court colour palette, inspired by the Glossy Black-Cockatoo of nearby Mount Majura Nature Reserve, was carried through into delivery, reinforcing the connection to the surrounding landscape.
Recent drone footage highlights the scale and layout of the finished works, showing how the space integrates into its parkland setting. Now established, the facility continues to operate as a high-use destination for the local community.
