In partnership with Blacktown City Council, construction works at Ken Birdsey Park in Schofields continued to progress steadily throughout October, with several key milestones achieved across the site.
One of the most notable developments this month at the 20-hectare site was the completion of the crib feature wall, marking an important structural and visual element within the park’s design. Alongside this milestone, works continued across multiple areas, including the sports fields, wetland zones, bioretention basins and stormwater infrastructure.
These elements play a critical role in supporting both community use and long-term environmental outcomes. The ongoing construction of sports fields is helping shape future recreation spaces, while progress within the wetland and bioretention areas reinforces the project’s sustainability focus — supporting water quality, drainage and ecological resilience.
