In the heart of Kings Cross, Sydney, the latest Living Colour greenwall has been rotated, bringing a fresh hit of colour to one of the city’s busiest precincts.
Delivered as part of the City of Sydney Living Colour program, these installations keep the city evolving, with seasonal planting across key CBD locations.
Glascott rotates these walls three times a year, with each display in place for around 17 to 18 weeks, ensuring the planting remains current. This iteration features a Pride-inspired palette, aligned with Sydney’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. It is a subtle but high-impact reflection of the city’s cultural calendar.
Working between 1am and 5am, the team removed the existing wall, delivered pre-grown plants and rebuilt the display within a tight window in a high-footfall location. Plants are grown off-site by Oasis Horticulture and installed by the Glascott team as part of the ongoing program.
Captured in time-lapse, the rotation shows how quickly these spaces can be transformed, keeping Sydney’s streetscapes dynamic, seasonal and unmistakably alive.
