Seymour Shaw Park reaches completion, delivering upgraded playing fields for Sutherland Shire Council

Seymour Shaw Park has officially reached completion, marking the end of a major turf upgrade delivered by Glascott for Sutherland Shire Council.

The project delivered 24,000m² of new playing fields turf, alongside a new amenities building – giving the community a home ground built to match how the space is actually used.

Landscape architecture was led by Taylor Brammer, with Sam Crawford Architects delivering the amenities building. The project was managed by Glascott’s Martyn Rathbone, who oversaw delivery from start to finish with close coordination throughout.

A staged handover, built around the turf

Turf installation reached the halfway mark back in February 2026, kicking off Glascott’s warranty maintenance program to support the turf as it established. That work has continued ever since, and will run through to February 2027 to make sure the fields are fully settled in before being handed over for good.

A project the team is proud of

It’s a project Glascott is proud to have delivered, and one that reflects the kind of long-term, hands-on relationship we look to build on every site — well beyond the day the turf goes down. We look forward to seeing the community make full use of Seymour Shaw for years to come.
